Ronaldinho, 46, Set to Return to Football with Italian Club Ravenna

Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho, 46, is on the verge of a surprising return to the sport. Italian media reports suggest the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner is set to sign with Ravenna, a team competing in Italy's Serie C.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the official announcement is slated for June 23 in Miami. The event will coincide with the Italian club's unveiling of its new uniform. Ronaldinho retired from professional football 11 years ago but may now rejoin a team that narrowly missed promotion to Serie B last season after a playoff defeat.

"New colors, same smile. I can't wait to get back on the field and write another chapter in my story with Ignazio (Cipriani, the club owner) and the entire Cipriani family," Ronaldinho stated, as quoted by the Italian newspaper. "Football has always been a source of joy for me, and I want to bring that same passion to Ravenna!"

The Brazilian is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in history, having previously played for prestigious clubs such as PSG, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, and Fluminense.
