RSS office in Ranchi attacked with suspected petrol bombs; police probe underway

An office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, was targeted with suspected petrol bombs. CCTV footage circulating online shows two men throwing what appear to be petrol bombs at the RSS office in the Nivaranpur area around midnight.

Parts of two glass bottles were recovered from the spot. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has been called to ascertain the contents of the bottles.

Snigdha Ranjan, head of RSS media coordination in Ranchi, alleged that petrol bombs were thrown at the premises. However, police stated that the exact nature of the objects used will be confirmed after a detailed investigation. Fragments of two glass bottles were recovered from the scene, and a forensic team has been called to analyze their contents.

Ranchi SSP Rakesh Ranjan cautioned against premature conclusions before the forensic examination is complete, stating that efforts are underway to identify those involved. The incident has drawn criticism from the BJP, with Union Minister Sanjay Seth calling it a "serious conspiracy" to disturb peace in the state capital.
