RTL Croatia Announces New Crime Series 'Specijalisti Zagreb' with Diverse Cityscapes and Investigations

RTL Croatia is launching its first-ever crime series, 'Specijalisti Zagreb,' on September 7, promising viewers a unique blend of humor, gripping criminal investigations, and relatable scenarios drawn from Croatian life. The series, a co-production with Gal Media, boasts a lavish production, an award-winning creative team, and prominent actors.

Filmed across various Zagreb locations, the series incorporates the city's historical and modern contrasts, from the old Upper and Lower Towns to the brutalist architecture of New Zagreb and the working-class neighborhoods of Trešnjevka and Dubrava. Authentic police station sets have also been constructed at Jadran Film in Zagreb to enhance the show's realism.

Each episode will present a distinct case, ranging from corruption and greed to underworld conflicts, all resolved through evidence collection, witness interrogations, and forensic analysis. The narrative centers on four main characters: police inspectors with contrasting personalities whose relationships, conflicts, and personal stories unfold throughout the season. Key figures include Inspector Zoran Jukić, a veteran detective relying on instinct, and his deputy, Ana Kirin, portrayed as the team's emotional and moral compass.
