Rubio denounces Hezbollah threats to overthrow Lebanese gov't

Rubio declared that the United States condemns Hezbollah's "reckless call" and accused the group of dragging Lebanon toward chaos and destruction.

Rubio highlighted that Hezbollah has ignored repeated calls from the legitimate Lebanese government to cease its attacks and respect a ceasefire. Instead, the group has continued firing on Israeli positions and moving fighters and weapons into southern Lebanon. He characterized these actions as part of a "deliberate campaign to destabilize the country and maintain its power at the expense of the future of the Lebanese people."
