Former President Donald Trump has publicly urged Darline Graham to run for a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate representing South Carolina. Graham was recently appointed to the seat following the sudden death of her brother, Senator Lindsey Graham.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated he had spoken with Darline Graham at the White House and encouraged her to compete in the special Republican primary. He expressed his belief that she would be the best person to honor her brother's legacy, describing her as a lifelong "WINNER."

Lindsey Graham, a prominent Republican senator since 2003, died last Saturday at the age of 71. His death was preliminarily determined by the District of Columbia medical examiner to be an aortic dissection. Funeral services are scheduled for late July in Washington and South Carolina.
