Russia Arrests Opposition Figure Boris Nadezhdin After 'Foreign Agent' Label

Russian opposition politician Boris Nadezhdin has been detained, a move that follows his recent designation as a "foreign agent." This label effectively bars him from participating in elections, a significant blow to his political aspirations and a clear signal of the Kremlin's efforts to silence dissent.

Nadezhdin was reportedly arrested on charges of calling for unauthorized assemblies, according to the Justice Ministry in Moscow.
