Russia Eases Fuel Restrictions in Several Regions Amid Supply Stabilization

Following Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries that triggered a nationwide fuel shortage, several Russian regions are now beginning to relax the restrictions they imposed on fuel sales.

Starting in early June, nearly all of Russia's regions implemented measures to limit fuel availability. These restrictions primarily focused on capping the quantity of fuel that could be sold to a single customer, aiming to manage the dwindling supply and prevent panic buying.

However, recent announcements from local officials and reports in the media indicate a shift. In the past few days, these previously stringent limitations have started to be eased, suggesting that the fuel supply situation may be stabilizing or that the initial measures have served their purpose.
