Russia's Black Sea Fleet Plans Secret Evacuation from Crimea Amid Ukrainian Attacks

Russia's Black Sea Fleet command is secretly developing an emergency plan to relocate its headquarters from occupied Sevastopol in Crimea to Novorossiisk, according to the partisan movement 'Ateș'.

This move comes as Ukrainian forces have launched systematic and devastating attacks on the peninsula, rendering former strategic fleet bases increasingly useless. Sources within the resistance movement indicate that officers are already working on the logistics of the relocation, though an official decision from Moscow is still pending. Panic is reportedly spreading among military personnel, with soldiers selling their properties and urgently sending their families to Novorossiisk. The morale among the fleet's leadership is said to be at an all-time low.

The Ukrainian military's intensified strikes, particularly on May 27 targeting the fleet's aviation headquarters in Sevastopol, have escalated pressure on the peninsula. Crimea is rapidly becoming a logistical trap for Russia, making it too costly and risky to maintain command structures there. The destruction of the Chongar bridges and subsequent attacks on newly established supply routes have further complicated Russia's logistical challenges.

Ukraine's strategy, confirmed by commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, is to completely isolate Crimea from Russia. Recent weeks have seen constant strikes on access routes, leading to severe fuel and food crises. Key infrastructure, including road and rail bridges at Chongar, the Djankoi junction, the Perekop-Armiansk route, and the Arabat Spit bridge, have been targeted and put out of use.
