Russian attack on Odesa port kills 10, including four Indian sailors

At least 10 people died in a Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian port of Odesa on Sunday, including four Indian sailors.

The cargo ship 'Golden Leo,' flying the Guinea-Bissau flag and carrying a crew of 17 Indian and Syrian sailors, was struck during the attack. Ukrainian port authorities confirmed nine crew members died, along with a port pilot.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the deaths of four Indian sailors and stated a fifth was hospitalized in critical condition. India condemned the attacks, calling the targeting of commercial navigation and civilian crews "deplorable."

The incident occurs as Ukraine continues drone attacks on Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov and Black Sea. Russia has intensified its bombing of Ukrainian ports, impacting the country's ability to export grain, while Ukrainian drone attacks have also disrupted Russian exports.
