A Russian drone strike on a warehouse in the Kyiv region late Friday triggered a massive detonation, killing at least 37 people and injuring 42 others, officials reported Saturday. The blast also necessitated the evacuation of over 380 residents from the Bucha district, according to regional governor Tymur Tkachenko.

President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the incident, emphasizing that the strike hit a warehouse where munitions were stored. He noted that nearby infrastructure, including residential buildings and a facility for the elderly, sustained significant damage. Zelensky demanded accountability for those responsible for the negligent storage of explosives, stating that criminal cases for official negligence had been initiated.
