Russian E-commerce Warehouses Hit by New Ukrainian Drone Attacks

Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries has again been targeted by Ukrainian drone attacks, with two of its warehouses hit overnight. These incidents add to a series of strikes on the company's facilities over the past two weeks.

In the Penza region, a drone attack on a Wildberries warehouse resulted in a fire, prompting the evacuation of over 200 employees. Regional governor Oleg Melnitchenko reported that one person sustained injuries in the incident. Wildberries confirmed that logistical chains have been reorganized, with goods reception and order dispatch now being handled at other sites.

Another Wildberries warehouse in Sarapoul, located approximately 1,100 kilometers east of Moscow, was also targeted. A fire broke out after the drone attack, but the company stated that initial reports indicated no injuries, as personnel were evacuated upon the air alert. These attacks underscore a growing trend of Ukrainian strikes aimed at Russian logistics and infrastructure.

The first significant attacks on Wildberries warehouses occurred on the night of July 18-19 in the Tambov and Moscow regions, resulting in the deaths of eight night-shift employees and causing extensive damage to the facilities. Since then, Ukrainian drones have also struck warehouses in Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, Saint Petersburg, and led to evacuations in Yekaterinburg. The escalating long-range strikes by both sides are increasing civilian casualties as diplomatic efforts remain stalled.
