Rwanda and Oman Boost Ties with Launch of Direct Flights

Rwanda and Oman are deepening their diplomatic and economic ties with the inauguration of direct flights connecting their capitals. SalamAir has launched services between Muscat, Oman's capital, and Kigali, Rwanda's capital, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations.

The new flight route, which commenced on Tuesday, July 21, is expected to significantly boost tourism and trade between the two countries. Passengers arriving at Kigali International Airport were greeted following the inaugural flight, symbolizing the growing connection between the Middle East and East Africa.

Dan Munyuza, Rwanda's Ambassador to Oman, was present at the launch event, highlighting the importance of this new air link. He presented a gift to Hamood bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, the Honorary Consul of Rwanda to Oman, underscoring the collaborative spirit driving this initiative.

This partnership signifies Rwanda's ongoing efforts to expand its international connectivity and foster economic growth through strategic alliances. The direct flights are anticipated to facilitate easier travel for business, tourism, and diplomatic purposes, further strengthening the relationship between Rwanda and Oman.
