Sahmyook University Counseling Psychology Alumni Donate 10 Million Won

Alumni from Sahmyook University's Graduate School of Counseling Psychology have demonstrated their ongoing support for their alma mater by donating 10 million won. This contribution is part of the university's 'Touching Donation Relay' initiative, launched to commemorate its 120th anniversary and foster a culture of giving.

A total of 24 alumni participated in this collective effort, pooling their resources to support the university's growth. Dr. Im Young-ok, one of the participating alumni, shared the motivation behind the donation, emphasizing the profound gratitude felt towards their professors. She noted that beyond academic instruction, the professors served as exemplary role models for aspiring counselors, inspiring the alumni to contribute to the department and university's advancement.

The professors' grace during our studies was immense, and beyond teaching us knowledge, their examples as true counselors deeply moved us. We wanted to contribute even a little to the development of the department and our alma mater, so the alumni readily came together.

This is not the first time this group of alumni has shown such generosity. Last year, they collectively donated 13 million won to the university's development fund. Dr. Im expressed her hope that the joy and fulfillment derived from this act of sharing will inspire even more alumni to participate in future donation drives.
