Salah scores two goals, has two disallowed in first start for Trabzonspor

Mohamed Salah opened his scoring account for Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor with a brace, guiding them to a crucial 2-1 win against Istanbul Basaksehir. This victory secured Trabzonspor's first win of the season.

Salah, who transferred to Trabzonspor on a free transfer after a successful nine-year spell at Liverpool, made his first league start for the club. He had two goals disallowed during the match, including one in stoppage time and another ruled out for offside when he aimed for an empty net from long range.

He had initially put Trabzonspor ahead in the eighth minute, capitalizing on a rebound after the Basaksehir goalkeeper failed to hold the ball. Although Basaksehir equalized from a penalty in the 19th minute, Salah restored Trabzonspor's lead three minutes into the second half with a well-placed shot after an exchange with teammate Ernest Muci.

Salah will now shift his focus to Trabzonspor's upcoming Europa League playoff second leg against Ferencvaros, following a 1-0 home defeat in the first leg.
