SalamAir to operate first direct flights between Muscat & Medan in Indonesia on Friday

SalamAir, the Sultanate of Oman's low-cost airline, is set to make history by operating its inaugural direct flights between Muscat and Medan, Indonesia, on Friday. This significant move represents the carrier's first scheduled service to the Republic of Indonesia and signifies a new destination within its ongoing strategy to broaden its network across Southeast Asia.

The airline celebrated this milestone with an official event at the Indonesian Embassy in Muscat. The new service will operate twice weekly using Airbus A320neo aircraft, offering a comfortable and cost-effective travel option between the two cities.

This new route is poised to strengthen the burgeoning economic, tourism, and cultural relations between Oman and Indonesia. It provides a direct and convenient travel choice at competitive prices for passengers. Additionally, the flights are expected to cater to the increasing demand from Umrah travelers by offering seamless connections through Muscat to Jeddah and Medina, while also supporting tourism and enhancing trade between the two countries.
