Sammi Cheng's husband Andy Hui makes surprise appearance at makeup concert event

Hong Kong's queen of Cantopop, Sammi Cheng, is holding a series of three makeup appreciation events to compensate fans after her "You & Mi Sammi Cheng Concert 2026 Asia Tour Final Stop" was postponed. The original concerts were canceled due to a malfunction in stage equipment.

At the first appreciation event, singer Andy Lau made a surprise guest appearance. However, the second event on July 11 delivered an even greater surprise: Cheng's husband, Andy Hui, joined her on stage. This rare joint performance by the celebrity couple ignited the venue, creating an intensely enthusiastic atmosphere among the audience.

Before introducing Hui, Cheng shared her feelings, stating that the original concert had no planned guests. She expressed a desire for greater energy and encouragement on stage, acknowledging the difficulty of reaching this point and the unexpected circumstances. She revealed that Hui was the first person she thought of when facing this challenge, wanting his strength to help her through the evening.

Hui then appeared, and the couple performed "One Step in Life" together. During the song, Hui watched Cheng tenderly, and they held hands, their exchanged glances filled with affection, showcasing their deep marital bond. The performance drew screams of excitement from the crowd.

After the song, Cheng told the audience that inviting Hui was a last-minute decision. "I didn't want to be alone tonight, so I asked the company if we could add a guest," she explained. Hui, smiling, bowed to the audience with humility before they performed another classic duet, "Do You Have Me in Your Heart." As Hui left the stage, he shared a hug with his wife, concluding a memorable moment for the fans.
