Samsung Electronics' 'Thank You Festival' concludes this weekend with 20% refund offer

Samsung Electronics is wrapping up its 'Thank You Festival,' a four-week event designed to give back to the community. The promotion offered customers a 20% refund in traditional market gift certificates, known as Onnuri gift certificates, for purchases made during the festival. This initiative aimed to share the company's success, particularly from its semiconductor business, with society.

The festival has been a significant draw, with Samsung Electronics reporting a 75% increase in visitors to its stores nationwide compared to the period before the event. Some individual stores even saw their visitor numbers more than double. With the festival ending on July 5, the company anticipates an even larger turnout this weekend as consumers rush to take advantage of the offer before it concludes.

To ensure customers can fully benefit, Samsung is extending the refund claim period. Purchases made during the festival, with products received and installed by September 5, allow customers to apply for the refund on the Samsung닷컴 website until September 30. This extended deadline accommodates potential delays in delivery or installation.

Beyond the general public, uniformed public servants, including military personnel, police, firefighters, and correction officers, receive an additional 10% discount on top of the 20% refund. This benefit extends to over 700,000 individuals, including approximately 500,000 military personnel. The use of Onnuri gift certificates, which are valid only in traditional markets and small businesses, also aims to boost sales for local merchants, fostering a symbiotic relationship with small business owners.
