San Fernando Anti-Drug Operation Leads to 16 Arrests, 34 Homes Searched

A massive anti-drug operation in San Fernando, Chile, has led to the arrest of 16 individuals and the seizure of illicit substances, ammunition, and modified weapons. The operation, conducted by the Police of Investigations (PDI), targeted neighborhood crime and drug sales points.

Led by detectives from the Model Territorial Zero (MT0) team, the PDI's Criminal Investigation Brigade (Bicrim) focused on neutralizing criminal hotspots. The simultaneous search of 34 homes was carried out in the San Hernán and San Juan neighborhoods, areas previously identified during the investigation.

The extensive operation involved a contingent of 180 police officers, who received support from various units across the O'Higgins Region. This coordinated effort aimed to intervene in targeted sectors effectively, disrupting drug trafficking networks within the community.
