Argentine club San Lorenzo has secured the signing of attacking midfielder Facundo Farías on a 12-month loan from Estudiantes. This move aims to strengthen San Lorenzo's squad, which has been hampered by injuries to key players like Facundo Gulli and Nahuel Barrios.

Farías, who turns 24 this Friday, arrives with a history of significant knee injuries that have interrupted his promising career. He was once considered one of Argentina's top young talents, particularly during his time at Colón, where he was part of the team that won the Copa de la Liga Profesional in 2021. His transfer from Colón to Inter Miami in 2023 was reportedly the club's highest-ever sale.

The loan agreement includes a purchase option for 70% of Farías's rights for $3 million. San Lorenzo will cover 60% of his substantial contract, which is reportedly over $1 million annually, with Estudiantes covering the remaining 40%.
