Sandra Sandoval releases “Si alguna vez” and brings Panamanian cumbia back to Roblox

Sandra Sandoval is preparing a Friday filled with music in two different worlds. She will release her new song “Si alguna vez,” perform with her brother Samy Sandoval and return to Roblox through a virtual dance inspired by the duo’s cumbia.

Sandoval said the song addresses romantic decisions that can bring regret over time. “Sometimes women make mistakes. And men do too,” she said, describing people who choose a partner and later wonder what they saw in that person.

The song’s release will coincide with a program combining live entertainment and digital activities. The Sandoval siblings’ music first entered Roblox on Aug. 28, when a user organized a virtual dance inspired by Samy and Sandra. Players from different servers listened to their songs while their avatars recreated the festive atmosphere associated with the artists’ performances.

A second edition is scheduled for Sept. 4 at 8 p.m. in Bajo Mundo and will be available across all servers. The event is not organized directly by the Sandovals. A Roblox user created it independently, bringing their music and visual style into the game.

Sandoval said she has never played Roblox but intends to join and see how she is represented by an avatar. The schedule will end with an in-person dance in Amador, giving the new release a presence both inside the game and before a Panamanian audience.
