Santa Cruz announces official agenda for Bolivia's 201st independence anniversary celebrations

Santa Cruz de la Sierra is preparing to commemorate Bolivia's 201st independence anniversary with a series of official events scheduled for August 6 and 7. The celebrations, organized by the regional government, aim to honor the nation's independence with traditional ceremonies.

The festivities commence on Thursday, August 6, with a floral offering at the Simón Bolívar monument at 7:00 AM. This will be followed by the flag-raising ceremony in Plaza 24 de Septiembre at 8:30 AM, and a Te Deum service at the Metropolitan Cathedral at 9:00 AM. A central highlight of the day will be the civic-military parade, starting at 10:00 AM along Calle Libertad, with delegations assembling on Avenida Cañoto.

Concluding the anniversary commemorations, a traditional military parade is scheduled for Friday, August 7, at 9:30 AM in the Cambódromo. This event will feature participation from members of the Armed Forces and various institutions, marking the culmination of the independence day celebrations in Santa Cruz.
