Santa Cruz needs 4 million liters of diesel; government urged to unblock imports

The Santa Cruz region in Bolivia is facing a critical shortage of diesel fuel, threatening its vital agricultural sector. Governor Rolando Schrupp stated that the region requires approximately four million liters of diesel to avert a halt in agricultural production.

Schrupp emphasized that the necessary logistical capacity and suppliers are in place. However, a "legal engineering" issue is preventing the department from directly participating in the fuel import and distribution chain. This bureaucratic obstacle is hindering the timely arrival of essential fuel for farmers.
