Santa Cruz queen to be chosen by popular vote among three finalists

The selection process for the Queen of Santa Cruz has narrowed down to three finalists, chosen from an initial pool of 18 hopefuls. The decision on who will wear the crown will now rest with the public, who can cast their votes via telephone.

Camila Zenteno, Fabiana Blanco, and Fabiana Ramírez emerged as the top three candidates after undergoing interviews with a jury. The jury included notable figures such as Kathryn Chávez, editor of Sociales at EL DEBER; Galo Sánchez, a fashion designer; and Rildo Barba, a social communicator. Their task was to select the candidates who would advance to the public voting stage.

Voting is open throughout the weekend and will conclude on Monday. The winner will be officially revealed on Tuesday, September 1st, during the flag-raising ceremony organized by the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Mayor's Office in the Plaza 24 de Septiembre. This event marks the public presentation of the new queen.

The grand coronation ceremony is slated for the evening of September 23rd at the traditional Parque El Arenal. On this night, the newly crowned queen will be accompanied by the other contestants, who will serve as her maids of honor, completing the festive occasion.
