Sara Netanyahu verbally abused PMO employee 'daily,' lawsuit alleges

A lawsuit filed by a Prime Minister's Office employee alleges that Sara Netanyahu subjected him to daily verbal abuse and extreme demands, creating "unacceptable" working conditions. The employee, Rami Ben-Hamo, is seeking NIS 450,000 in compensation for alleged shouting, insults, derogatory nicknames, and humiliation.

According to the lawsuit, Ben-Hamo claims he fulfilled every assignment given by Sara Netanyahu, often working up to 80 overtime hours per month, exceeding his contract limits. The alleged mistreatment reportedly worsened towards the end of his employment, with Sara Netanyahu purportedly telling him he was a "bad cleaner" who "doesn't know how to clean." The lawsuit also states that cleaning wipes were thrown at him when he missed spots, an issue exacerbated by Ben-Hamo's vision problems.

The Prime Minister's Office is accused of failing to assist Ben-Hamo despite being fully aware of the issues. The lawsuit details further alleged insults, including Sara Netanyahu telling Ben-Hamo, "You destroyed my family" and "The prime minister and I don't like you," and referring to him as a "primitive Moroccan."

The alleged poor treatment continued even after Ben-Hamo suffered a heart attack. He reportedly decided to quit after a misunderstanding led to Sara Netanyahu throwing a bottle of soda on the floor. N12 reported that Ben-Hamo expressed a wish for God to "take me [him] away from this job," which Sara Netanyahu allegedly interpreted as "May God take her away," prompting her to inform Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the incident.

This lawsuit is not the first of its kind. Another PMO employee previously received tens of thousands of shekels in compensation following a settlement over claims of humiliation and harassment, including an alleged incident where olives and tomatoes were thrown at the employee, damaging her clothing.
