Saskatoon celebrates 50th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast fundraiser

Saskatoon's Civic Square was filled with the aroma of pancakes on Thursday morning as the city celebrated the 50th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast. Hundreds of residents gathered for the beloved community event, which serves as a key fundraiser to kick off the summer season.

For an $8 donation, attendees were treated to a hearty breakfast of pancakes with all the fixings, accompanied by coffee, sausage, and juice. The event also offered "Act of Kindness" tickets, allowing participants to purchase a hot meal for individuals facing hardship.

Beyond the delicious food, the breakfast featured live music and drumming circles, creating a vibrant atmosphere. It also provided an opportunity for residents to connect with community partners. This year, all proceeds from the event were donated to United Way Saskatoon and Area, an organization that has been working for over 65 years to create opportunities for children and combat poverty within the community.

The 50th anniversary celebration highlighted the community's spirit of giving and togetherness, reinforcing the event's role as both a culinary delight and a significant charitable endeavor for Saskatoon.
