Saudi AI Team Wins Three International Awards at IOAI 2026

Saudi Arabia's prowess in artificial intelligence has been further underscored by its success at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026). A team supervised by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and KAUST Academy, clinched three international awards at the prestigious competition held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event saw participation from teams representing 108 countries.

This latest triumph brings Saudi Arabia's total medal count at the IOAI to seven, comprising one silver and six bronze medals. The achievement is a testament to the effectiveness of Mawhiba's International Olympiad Program, which includes specialized preparation and qualification initiatives. Through intensive training in AI concepts and applications, led by experts and academics, students are rigorously prepared to excel in global scientific arenas.
