Saudi aid group distributes food baskets in Gaza's Khan Younis

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action (KSrelief) has distributed 797 food baskets in Khan Younis, Gaza, as part of its "Good Baskets Project." This initiative aims to bolster food security for 4,782 displaced individuals in the region. The distribution is a component of a broader Saudi popular campaign dedicated to aiding the Palestinian people.

Field teams from the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, a partner of KSrelief in Gaza, are managing the distribution. Their program ensures a continuous flow of aid to those in need, seeking to expand the reach of beneficiaries to meet escalating family requirements amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

This effort follows a recent distribution of 25,000 hot meals by KSrelief's central kitchen to vulnerable populations in central and southern Gaza. Beyond food aid, KSrelief is actively engaged in multiple volunteer medical projects within Gaza. These projects, running from July 2 to August 2, 2026, encompass general surgery, orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, neurosurgery, and urology.

Since the campaign's inception, the medical team has examined 260 individuals and successfully performed numerous surgeries across these specialties. These actions underscore Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing essential aid and support to affected Palestinian populations through KSrelief.
