Saudi Arabia Condemns Colombia’s Recognition of Israel’s Sovereignty over Syrian Golan Heights

Saudi Arabia and Italy are deepening their strategic relationship, emphasizing a shared vision for regional stability and economic cooperation. Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, described the partnership as a cornerstone of Italy's engagement in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia has become an indispensable partner in promoting dialogue, regional stability and sustainable growth, noting that Saudi-Italian coordination is underway to contain what he described as profound regional uncertainty.

Tajani highlighted the joint commitment to ensuring freedom of navigation through critical waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz, the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Gulf of Aden. He underscored the importance of the Gulf region as a vital political, economic, and security partner for Italy.

We have reaffirmed from Rome our shared commitment with Saudi Arabia to safeguarding freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, the Gulf of Aden and all international maritime routes.

During a meeting in Rome with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, both nations adopted a political declaration reinforcing their growing strategic alliance. This declaration also expressed a shared commitment to fostering peace, prosperity, and sustainable growth in the Wider Mediterranean region. Furthermore, it reiterated a firm condemnation of extremist settler violence and rejected any form of annexation.

He stated that both countries share a common strategic vision centered on dialogue, stability, and responsible leadership. Italy's ability to engage with principal actors in regional crises allows for open diplomatic channels and contributes to de-escalation efforts.
