Saudi Arabia to showcase premium dates as guest of honor at Fancy Food Show in New York

Saudi Arabia is set to participate as the guest of honor at the prestigious Fancy Food Show in New York City, running from June 28 to 30. This significant international gathering will feature the National Center for Palms and Dates showcasing a curated selection of premium Saudi date varieties and their diverse processed products, which have garnered substantial demand in global markets.

The participation is strategically designed to enhance the marketing and global reach of Saudi dates and their value-added products. Abdulrahman Alfadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Palms and Dates, reviewed the preparations. He highlighted the event as a crucial opportunity to empower Saudi date producers, elevate awareness of their unique varieties, and stimulate worldwide exports, citing the sector's increasing global appeal due to its superior quality and nutritional benefits.

Date exports from Saudi Arabia have already reached approximately SR2 billion, underscoring the sector's vital role in bolstering the national economy, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The National Center for Palms and Dates emphasized that the Fancy Food Show serves as a dynamic international platform for networking, product launches, knowledge exchange, and identifying global market trends and emerging technologies.

Several Saudi date companies will be present within the national pavilion, further solidifying the international presence of Saudi producers, who have successfully expanded their reach to 1,500 retail outlets worldwide. The exhibition is expected to attract over 30,000 visitors, more than 2,400 exhibitors, and participants from approximately 50 countries, offering an unparalleled opportunity for Saudi Arabia to highlight its agricultural prowess.
