Saudi Crown Prince invites Tinubu to Future investment initiative

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has received an invitation from Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to attend the 10th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII). The prestigious global investment conference is scheduled to take place in Riyadh in October.

The invitation was formally extended by the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef Mohammed Albalawi, during a meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Ambassador Albalawi conveyed the invitation on behalf of the Crown Prince, seeking President Tinubu's participation in the landmark forum.

President Tinubu expressed his appreciation for the invitation, reaffirming the strong and growing bilateral ties between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Future Investment Initiative, often dubbed "Davos in the Desert," is Saudi Arabia's premier global investment conference. Organized by the Future Investment Initiative Institute, it serves as a platform for world leaders, investors, and innovators to discuss global economic trends, technology, sustainability, and investment opportunities. The 10th edition in October 2026 marks a decade since the initiative's launch as part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 economic diversification program. This year's summit is expected to focus on key areas such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, energy transition, climate resilience, healthcare innovation, and infrastructure development.
