Saudi Joint Chiefs of Staff Director Inspects Armed Forces Preparations for Hajj

Saudi Arabia's Armed Forces are finalizing preparations to support this year's Hajj pilgrimage, ensuring seamless operations for the millions of pilgrims expected. Major General Pilot Hamid Al-Omari, representing the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, conducted an inspection of military units stationed at the holy sites.

The tour encompassed key locations, including the air force detachment at Arafat Airport, Ministry of Defense camps, religious affairs facilities, and the military police operations at the Grand Mosque. Al-Omari reviewed the comprehensive plans designed to bolster security and government agencies serving pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.

Emphasis was placed on operational readiness, awareness programs, effective crowd management strategies, and robust medical preparedness. The Military Police of the Royal Saudi Land Forces is playing a crucial role, coordinating with internal security forces to manage pilgrim flow within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards, oversee entry gates, and organize movement from Mina.

Participating forces have undergone intensive training and simulation exercises to enhance their capacity for rapid response and crowd control in coordination with all relevant security entities. The objective is to ensure a safe and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims undertaking the sacred journey.
