Savannah Guthrie renews plea for missing mother as search passes four months

Savannah Guthrie, anchor of NBC's "Today" show, has again publicly appealed for the safe return of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for over four months.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, is believed to have been abducted from her home in the Tucson, Arizona, area. The search has been ongoing for 127 days. Investigators discovered blood drops on the porch and a glove containing DNA about 2 miles from the residence. However, the glove was later disqualified as evidence, as it belonged to a restaurant worker.

Guthrie has consistently used her national platform to raise awareness and solicit information about her mother's disappearance. Her family is offering a $1 million reward for any details leading to Nancy's recovery. In a tearful interview earlier this year, Guthrie described the unbearable agony of not knowing her mother's whereabouts, expressing the constant fear of what she might have endured.

The FBI is actively searching for a male suspect, described as approximately 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall with an average build. The agency has posted a $100,000 reward for conclusive information. No arrests have been made to date. Despite the ongoing distress, Guthrie returned to "Today" in April, acknowledging the immense support from fans and colleagues, stating, "We feel your prayers. So, thank you so much."
