SC Paderborn loans Laurin Ulrich from VfB Stuttgart

First-division newcomer SC Paderborn 07 has secured the services of Laurin Ulrich from VfB Stuttgart through a loan agreement. The 21-year-old offensive midfielder joins Paderborn after a successful stint with 1. FC Magdeburg last season.

During his time with Magdeburg in the second division, Ulrich played in 33 matches and contributed three goals. His previous loan spell demonstrated his capabilities in the midfield.

Before the current loan, VfB Stuttgart extended Ulrich's contract, which was set to expire on June 30, 2027, by an additional year. This move secures his future with Stuttgart while allowing him to gain further experience.

SC Paderborn's Sporting Director, Sebastian Lange, expressed enthusiasm for the signing. He described Ulrich as a technically gifted player with high football intelligence. Lange highlighted Ulrich's extensive experience in the second and third divisions despite his young age, noting his significant role in Magdeburg's midfield last season.
