School break brings children’s activities to museums and cultural spaces

The school break is bringing a program of activities for children, young people and families across Panama City and San Miguelito, with museums, libraries and natural spaces opening up different ways to learn and explore.

At the Biomuseo, visitors can watch diver immersions throughout the week from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The museum will also offer guided tours through its galleries. On Saturday, Sept. 12, an exploration activity will focus on the biodiversity found in the Biomuseo park.

A coloring workshop is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Fossil replicas will also be displayed every day in the El Gran Intercambio gallery.

The Interoceanic Canal Museum will hold an open day on Wednesday, Sept. 9, to mark its anniversary. The public can enter from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. In Casco Antiguo, the Mola Museum offers free admission and gives children and young people a chance to learn about different aspects of Guna culture.

The Omar Torrijos Herrera Library in San Miguelito is preparing free activities for the school break. The Metropolitan Natural Park is another option, although its activities require advance reservations.
