Scorching heat returns: Croatia braces for temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius

Get ready for a significant shift in weather as meteorologists forecast a return of intense summer heat across Croatia. After a week marked by unstable conditions and rain in some inland regions, the weather is set to stabilize and warm up considerably. By Friday, much of the country can expect temperatures to climb above 30 degrees Celsius, signaling a true return to summer.

The transition begins on Tuesday, with clearer skies and warmer temperatures becoming dominant. While some inland areas might experience morning fog near rivers, the afternoons are expected to be mostly sunny. Temperatures in Slavonia, Baranja, and Srijem will range from 24 to 27 degrees Celsius, while central Croatia could see highs reaching up to 28 degrees. The northern Adriatic coast will enjoy sunny weather with light morning winds, though Gorski Kotar and Lika might see some clouds and a slight chance of rain.

Dalmatia is anticipated to be the warmest region, with temperatures potentially reaching 30 degrees Celsius and even higher in inland areas, accompanied by abundant sunshine. The sea temperature is currently around 21 degrees Celsius. While Wednesday might bring some isolated showers to inland areas and Thursday could see some instability on the northern Adriatic coast, the outlook for Friday and the weekend points towards a firm return of summer heatwaves.
