Second Phase of Vasilievsky Tract Reconstruction Begins in Bishkek

Bishkek is advancing its road infrastructure renewal with the completion of the first stage of the Vasilievsky Tract street reconstruction. The initial phase, spanning 8 kilometers, was carried out between June 23 and June 26, marking a significant step in the city's efforts to improve its transportation network.

The second phase of the reconstruction is set to commence on June 27. This next segment will focus on the stretch of road extending from Fuchik Street to Manas International Airport. City officials have assured that the project will not involve a complete road closure. Instead, temporary closures will be implemented on one side of the carriageway at a time, with traffic redirected to the other side to maintain two-way movement.

This phased approach aims to minimize disruption for residents and visitors while ensuring the efficient progress of the reconstruction work. Temporary restrictions will be introduced incrementally on specific sections until the entire project is finished. The primary goals of these ongoing efforts are to enhance the quality of the road surface, improve traffic safety, and further develop the city's transport infrastructure.

The Bishkek municipality is urging residents and visitors to exercise patience and understanding regarding the temporary inconveniences. They also advise planning travel routes in advance to account for the ongoing repair work.
