This sentiment follows the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) declaration of Adeleke as the winner of the August 15 Osun governorship election.

Adeleke, who ran on the Accord Party platform, secured 511,067 votes, defeating his closest rival, the All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who garnered 444,815 votes. Adeleke won in 19 of the state's 30 local government areas. The election and Adeleke's subsequent victory have drawn widespread reactions, with many leaders and stakeholders commending the electorate and urging the governor to prioritize development with his renewed mandate.
