Security deploys 'Aman' and 'Madar' in Rabat

Morocco's security forces have begun field operations with "Aman" and "Madar," advanced smart patrol vehicles equipped with artificial intelligence. Initially deployed in the capital, Rabat, these vehicles are set to roll out to Casablanca and Tangier soon, with a gradual expansion planned across all major cities and security directorates nationwide.

This advanced step comes in anticipation of the launch of these sophisticated vehicles in the cities of Casablanca and Tangier in the coming days, in preparation for their gradual generalization to all major cities and security directorates in the Kingdom.

The "Aman" vehicle is an innovative model developed entirely by the Directorate General of National Security's engineering and technical teams. It boasts an integrated visual surveillance system with 360-degree cameras. This system is linked in real-time to applications for automatic license plate reading and facial recognition, utilizing advanced AI models for immediate visual verification in public spaces. The vehicles are directly connected to command and coordination centers, enhancing their role in traffic control and crime prevention.

Similarly, the "Madar" patrol car functions as a mobile smart surveillance platform, transforming standard vehicles into high-tech security units using the same AI algorithms. It features a 3D-printed emergency light system incorporating high-definition cameras capable of accurately capturing fast-moving traffic across six lanes simultaneously. A central panoramic camera completes a full rotation in under three seconds, covering all blind spots, complemented by a powerful traffic signal system for optimal intervention visibility.

These smart patrols feature a new, modern visual identity for easy public recognition. They are enhanced with GPS positioning and direct access to the central database via an integrated identification device. The deployment follows initial development, field testing, and training of police personnel, aiming to bolster the security institution's readiness and provide integrated services combining advanced technology with community policing. This modernization is particularly timely as Morocco prepares to host major international events, including the 2030 World Cup.
