Security footage captures armed attack on business owner in Istanbul

A violent incident unfolded in Istanbul's Gaziosmanpaşa district on the evening of August 21, when a business owner was shot and seriously injured. The attack occurred around 9 p.m. as the suspect approached the establishment on foot and immediately began firing from a concealed weapon. The owner collapsed, bleeding, while bystanders attempted to intervene.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and the injured owner received initial medical attention before being transported to the hospital by ambulance. The assailant managed to escape the immediate vicinity following the shooting.

Subsequent investigation by police, including a review of security camera footage and witness testimonies, revealed that the target was specifically the business owner, not the establishment itself. Further inquiries identified the suspect as a relative of the victim.
