Security guards sought for Zagreb sports facilities, Hipodrom on list: Million-euro tender details revealed

The Zagreb Sports Facilities Management (USO) has launched a tender for private security services valued at approximately 4 million euros. The contract is set to last for 18 months, covering a range of facilities managed by the institution.

The tender document specifies that the security services will be provided across various locations in Zagreb. These include popular recreational areas like Bundek and Jarun, sports complexes such as ŠRC Šalata, public swimming pools, and the Hipodrom. The exact number of security guards required for each location is detailed, with varying needs for full-time, part-time, Sunday, or holiday shifts.

USO has outlined the duties for the security personnel, which include verifying identities, issuing warnings, conducting searches, securing event areas, and, if necessary, employing physical force and firearms. The tender also specifies the total hours of service required, amounting to over 358,000 hours for physical protection of individuals and property, plus additional hours for interventions and patrols.

Potential bidders must account for all associated costs in their proposals, including organization, supervision, intervention response, cooperation with emergency services, reporting, and transportation. The tender is currently in a consultation phase with interested parties, indicating that the final terms may still be subject to adjustment before a contract is awarded.
