Seiveright warns of fake AI investment video using his image and voice

Delano Seiveright, Minister of State in Jamaica's Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, has issued a stern warning to the public regarding a deceptive video circulating on social media. The video unlawfully utilizes his likeness and an artificial intelligence-generated voice to promote fraudulent investment schemes.

Seiveright emphatically stated that the video is entirely false and unauthorized, asserting his complete lack of connection to the content, its creators, or any associated investment opportunities, financial schemes, products, or services. He urged Jamaicans, both domestically and in the diaspora, to exercise extreme caution and avoid being misled by online material falsely suggesting his endorsement.

The ministry has reported the matter to the relevant social media platforms and authorities. Efforts are underway to have the malicious content removed and to identify the individuals behind its creation and distribution. The public is strongly advised against sending money, sharing personal or financial information, or engaging with any links or contact details linked to the fraudulent video.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any encounters with the video immediately and refrain from sharing it. All information should be verified exclusively through official communication channels of the Government of Jamaica and the ministry to ensure accuracy and prevent falling victim to such scams.
