Sejong University Recruits Students for 2026 Second-Half Japan Employment Program

Sejong University is recruiting participants for its second-half 2026 Japan Employment Class, targeting students who want to enter Japanese companies after graduation.

The university’s University Job Plus Center is running the program with the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It will combine practical employment training with a link to interviews held with Japanese companies, giving participants support through the main stages of preparation.

The program will cover Japanese recruitment practices and workplace conditions, as well as applications and interviews. Participants can also choose a Japanese-language course designed to prepare them for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test’s N2 level. The job training and interview connection are mandatory, while the language course is optional.

Because employment in Japan requires language ability, job skills and an understanding of local recruitment procedures, systematic preparation is important.

Eligible applicants include current third- and fourth-year students and graduates who could begin work at Japanese companies in 2027 or 2028. The program will operate from Sept. 8 through Nov. 10, and applications must be submitted through Sejong’s U-DREAM employment support system by Sept. 7.

The center said it has continued to offer Japan-focused employment programs. In last year’s class, five of the 18 participants found jobs at Japanese companies. A center official said successful preparation requires language ability, job skills and an understanding of local recruitment procedures.
