Sembrant pulls off the upset: 'Can threaten everyone'

In a stunning upset, AIK defeated the reigning Damallsvenskan champions Häcken 2-1, halting Häcken's impressive six-game winning streak. The victory came courtesy of a dramatic late header from veteran defender Linda Sembrant in the 97th minute, securing a crucial three points for AIK.

"When we are at our highest level, we can threaten everyone," Sembrant told Viaplay after the match. AIK had taken the lead in the 59th minute through Ellie Junetoft, her first Allsvenskan goal. Häcken, who had started the match with key players Felicia Schröder and Anna Anvegård on the bench, brought them on in the second half. The pair combined to set up Tabitha Tindell, who was fouled, leading to Schröder's penalty equalizer in stoppage time.

However, AIK had one final push. From a corner, Sembrant rose highest to score the decisive goal. "We believe in it all the time.
