Sence announces two new free courses for mining training in AI

The National Training and Employment Service (Sence) in Chile, in collaboration with MineClass, has introduced two new free online courses aimed at upskilling professionals in the mining industry, with a specific focus on artificial intelligence applications. These new offerings broaden the available certified online training to a total of ten distinct programs.

The curriculum covers a wide range of mining operations, from the initial planning stages of underground mining projects to the final closure of mining sites. The courses are designed to be flexible, with durations ranging from 2 to 16 hours, allowing participants to balance their learning with existing commitments.

Eligibility for these free courses is open to individuals aged 18 and over who possess a Chilean national identification number (RUN) and a ClaveÚnica, the national digital identity system. Registration is available through the official Sence portal and will remain open until September 30. Notably, no prior experience in the mining sector is necessary to enroll, making these courses accessible to a broad audience seeking to enter or advance within the industry.
