Seo Kyo-rim eyes third consecutive KLPGA win, tied for 5th after 3 rounds

Seo Kyo-rim has surged into contention at the KG Ladies Open, finishing the third round tied for fifth place and just one shot behind the co-leaders. This strong performance keeps her hopes alive for a remarkable third consecutive victory on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour.

Seo carded a 4-under-par 68 in the third round, with six birdies and two bogeys, bringing her total score to 8-under-par 208. She now trails the leading group of Noh Seung-hee, Shin Da-in, and Park Hye-jun by a single stroke. This close proximity to the lead sets the stage for an exciting final round.

Should Seo win the KG Ladies Open, it would be her third consecutive KLPGA Tour title, following her victories at the Mediheal-Korea Daily Championship and the BC Card-Hankyung KLPGA Championship. Achieving three consecutive wins is a rare feat in KLPGA history, accomplished previously only by golf legends such as Park Se-ri, Kim Mi-hyun, and Seo Hee-kyung.

Seo, who is also aiming for her fifth win of the season, had been in a tie for 18th place after the second round. Her impressive third-round performance narrowed the gap with the leaders, significantly boosting her chances for an overall victory. Despite a bogey on the 3rd hole, she quickly turned the momentum with consecutive birdies on holes 4 and 5, and added two more pairs of birdies to her scorecard.
