Seoul Accelerates Digitalization of Urban Redevelopment Projects

The city of Seoul is speeding up the digital transformation of its urban redevelopment initiatives, aiming to significantly reduce project durations. This initiative involves digitizing the entire process, from gathering resident consent to conducting general assembly meetings.

Starting June 22, Seoul will open applications for project associations to participate in its '2026 Urban Redevelopment Electronic Voting and Online General Meeting Activation Project.' This program is designed to assist redevelopment and reconstruction associations in easily adopting electronic voting and online general meetings.

The city will provide financial support for these associations to implement the digital systems. Eligible projects must be those that can commence construction within three years. By streamlining these administrative processes, Seoul seeks to make urban renewal projects more efficient and timely.
