Seoul E-Land's Ahn Ju-wan Sets New K League Scoring Record

Ahn Ju-wan, a young talent for Seoul E-Land, has etched his name in K League history by becoming the youngest scorer across both top-tier K League 1 and second-tier K League 2. At just 17 years, 3 months, and 10 days old, he surpassed the previous record held by Park Seung-soo by three days. Ahn achieved this milestone on June 24th during a match against Cheonan City FC, netting his professional debut goal in the 19th minute of the second half. This crucial goal was Seoul E-Land's third in a thrilling 4-3 victory that propelled them to second place in the league standings. Ahn entered the game as a substitute in the 9th minute of the second half and capitalized on a pass to score with his right foot from just outside the penalty area. Born on April 14, 2009, Ahn had already broken the K League 2 record for youngest player upon his professional debut in March. His prodigious talent was evident in his youth career, where he led his U15 team to a championship in 2023 with 22 goals and dominated the U15 B division in 2024 with an astounding 39 goals. He has also represented South Korea in the U17 Asian Cup, scoring twice in four matches. Reflecting on his record-breaking goal, Ahn expressed confidence in his finish and stated his season's goal is to help Seoul E-Land achieve promotion.
