Seoul Municipal University selected for two new Seoul RISE projects

Seoul Municipal University (SMU) has significantly expanded its role in the city's innovation ecosystem by being selected for two new key projects under the Seoul RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) program. This latest selection brings the university's total involvement in Seoul RISE initiatives to four projects and eight distinct programs, reinforcing its position as a central player in implementing Seoul's regional innovation strategies.

The newly selected projects underscore SMU's commitment to fostering future-ready talent and addressing complex urban challenges. The 'Youth Employment Academy University+' project aims to cultivate practical professionals by integrating AI technology with urban sciences, equipping them with the skills needed for both employment and entrepreneurship in solving urban issues. Concurrently, the 'Seoul RISE 10 Challenge' project is a major research initiative focused on AI-based urban resilience, seeking to establish a forward-looking research hub dedicated to tackling Seoul's multifaceted urban problems.
