Seoul National University Professor Lee Cheol-hee wins 16th Hakhyun Academic Award

Professor Lee Cheol-hee from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University has been honored with the 16th Hakhyun Academic Award. The prestigious award ceremony took place on May 29 at the Dalgaebi restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Professor Lee was recognized for his significant contributions to the field of economics. The event was attended by key figures from the institutions that jointly organized the award, including Won Seung-yeon, Director of the Seoul Social Economy Research Institute; Park Chan-soo, CEO of The Hankyoreh; Kang Chul-gyu, Chairman of the Hakhyun Academic Award Committee and Director of the Seoul Social Economy Research Institute; Jang Se-jin, Chairman of the Korea Economic Development Association; and Kim Jin-young, President of the Korea Economic Development Association.

The Hakhyun Academic Award aims to foster academic research and development in economics and related social sciences.
