SeoulTech offers DISC certification to boost staff skills and communication

SeoulTech's Career Development Center has launched a DISC certification program aimed at bolstering the professional capabilities of its faculty, administrative staff, and consultants. The initiative, titled '2026 Academic Year Career Development Center DISC Certification Program Job Competency Enhancement Training,' focuses on equipping participants with advanced skills in DISC assessment and analysis.

The program's primary objective is to elevate the counseling and educational competencies of the Career Development Center's personnel. By systematically learning DISC diagnostic and analytical methods, participants can earn a professional DISC instructor certification. This is expected to foster a more flexible and positive organizational culture by enhancing mutual understanding among team members and improving communication styles.

Conducted over 16 hours of intensive in-person training from July 23 to 24, the program was delivered through a specialized external training institution. The curriculum included modules on understanding organizational culture, fostering positive work environments, DISC type diagnostics and analysis, and tailored communication strategies for different DISC profiles, emphasizing practical application in their roles.

Kim Byung-il, head of SeoulTech's Career Development Center, expressed his hopes for the program's impact. "We hope this DISC certification program will serve as an opportunity to enhance both the counseling expertise and organizational communication capabilities of our Career Development Center members," he stated. He added that the center plans to continuously expand practical, competency-based training to further improve student support services.
